Bringing Back Our Community

Our Mission

TBringing back our communityhe mission of Bringing Back Our Community is to help fund other non-profit groups and projects, as well as rebuilding communities that have historical buildings in need of renovation and/or have been destroyed by mother nature. We also plan to help children and young adults via programs that build self esteem and teach life sustaining lessons that are not necessarily taught in school.

Bringing Back Our Community (BBOC) Nonprofit will be making a donation to the community of Joplin, MO, from the funds raised at the 3rd Annual What Women Want™ Biz Expo & What Men Want Too™.  Our nonprofit was created out of the need to refresh, revive and renew communities and charities in need, especially to help children and women in need.  With your help the people of Joplin can begin to move forward with their lives.  By making a minimum $10 donation or $25/3 tickets or $50/7 tickets, you can win great prizes including an iPad2 and net proceeds will be donated to BBOC.  Contact Brenda Ammon, bbocnonprofit@gmail.com or mail your check, made payable to Referral Networking Solutions and in memo area write BBOC donation and mail to P.O. Box 32054, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33420.  Brenda is hoping to make a personal visit to the Joplin area in July 2011 to present the check.  She is researching local charities to work with in the Joplin area.

Healing Touch Buddies

Mission Statement

Healing Touch Buddies, Inc. is a local non-profit health and education organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life of those challenged with breast cancer; providing patients with Healing Touch and volunteer practitioners with instruction and support. Our additional intention is to gather data on the impact of HT on specific symptoms associated with breast cancer and its treatment.

Goals and Objectives

  • HTB Executive Board and Advisory Committee have been formed to implement a program of continuing education instruction for Healing Touch Practitioners, who provide Healing Touch Therapy to those challenged with breast cancer.
  • HTB services are referred to patients through breast patient navigator programs, oncology services, breast cancer support groups and the Community Cancer Council. HTB matches healing touch providers with breast cancer patients, providing them with Healing Touch sessions for up to one year; the location and frequency of the meetings tailored to the needs and mutual goals of the patient and practitioner.
  • HTB provides support and mentoring to practitioners, guided by Standard and Practice of Healing Touch International, Inc. Data gathered through documentation of Healing Touch sessions is used to further research on the effects of HT on the quality of life of the breast cancer population.
  • HTB program development, administration, education and outreach budget is initially funded through private gifts and loans. As a 501 C3 tax exempt non-profit , we rely on grants from funds available specific to breast cancer, women’s health and education and breast cancer research to provide our services and education. Private gifts and our fundraising events bring in additional funds to cover administrative costs.
